Our Story

Hi, my name is Brittney, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I love to discuss anything related to personal values. I’m your why-is-the-sky-blue-and-grass-green kind of gal, and I love to process through depth, introspection, and critical thinking. Many of the life transitions and defining moments in my life centered on values; it took me time to examine the narratives around them, but this helped me understand how I made decisions. I created a Values-Based Wellness program that blends holistic wellness and identity development within an educational framework, focusing on how to incorporate personal values to enhance our quality of life. This lens demonstrates the need to examine identity, emotional literacy, and purpose-driven exploration. Especially as I often have conversations with clients asking the big questions, Who do I want to be? What is my calling on earth?

I want to help you get to the place where you can find meaning in life…from relationships, to friendships; how you conduct yourself in the workspace, and assessing your own character daily. I am ready to guide others in understanding their beliefs, expectations, and worldviews through a channel that extends beyond the therapy space. I realized that people needed more tools than just talk therapy. I didn’t want to leave people behind, so I had to reinvent the wheel to keep the deep conversations flowing.

My business, A Valued Life, helps you understand your values more intentionally and reach a place where you feel confident about where you are going in different areas of your life. Instead of labeling or identifying themselves by their diagnosis, I found that clients were more excited to share what mattered to them—the things that truly captured the essence of their being.

Discussing personal values is a creative and fun way to understand what matters to you — or to build on the values you already hold. I’ve created a curriculum, along with a range of tangible, value-friendly products, that help you explore your identity, strengthen your emotional literacy, and practice living in alignment with your values every day. These tools make the learning process hands‑on, relatable, and meaningful, whether you’re discovering new parts of yourself or deepening the values that guide your life.

I value family, faith, wisdom, and community.
